Continuing Education.

Donor and Gestational Carrier Screenings- an intensive course. Learn how to conduct gamete donation and surrogate evaluation/screening. This course will walk you through each step of the process beginning with the initial referral through report writing and providing feedback. We will also discuss ethical binds and how to avoid them. A focus will be on integrating data from the PAI with the clinical interview to provide a detailed assessment of the candidate. Prerequisite is completion Dr. John Kurtz’s PAI for Reproductive Medicine course.

At the end of this series, participants will know how to:

 

  1. Participants will be able to recite what to ask referral sources in order to effectively prepare for a donor or gestational carrier screening.
  2. Participants will be able to identify questions to be included in a clinical interview for a donor screening.
  3. Participants will be able to identify questions to be included in a clinical interview for a gestational carrier screening.
  4. Participants will be able to explain between known and unknown screenings in reproductive mental health.
  5. Participants will be able to analyze and integrate subjective clinical interview data with objective testing data to provide answers to the referral questions.
  6. Participants will be able to plan the feedback session for donors, gestational carriers, and intended parents/recipients.
  7. Participants will be able to predict three ethical conflicts in donor and gestational screenings and identify ways to avoid them.
  8. Participants will be able to name the sections to be included in the screening report.

Cancellation policy: Participants will be granted a full refund if registration is canceled at least 7 days in advance of the first class; after this time, your registration fee may be applied to a future CE program upon request. If the program is canceled by the instructors for any reason, a full refund will be granted.
