
This intermediate-level training is designed for mental health professionals seeking to deepen their skills in conducting gamete donor and gestational carrier psychological screenings.

Participants will be guided through every stage of the screening process—from the initial referral to clinical interviewing, psychological test integration, report writing, and feedback. Special attention will be given to navigating common ethical complexities and avoiding professional pitfalls.

A major focus of this course is learning how to integrate Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) data with clinical interview findings to produce thoughtful, comprehensive, and clinically useful reports for required for reproductive pre-cycle screenings .

Dr. Carrie Eichberg has been a practitioner, educator, and author in the field of reproductive psychology for over 17 years, with extensive experience conducting donor and gestational carrier assessments and training other clinicians in this specialized area.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
· Identify essential information to obtain from referral sources in order to prepare effectively for donor and gestational carrier evaluations.
· Develop structured clinical interview questions specific to gamete donor screenings.
· Develop structured clinical interview questions specific to gestational carrier screenings.
· Differentiate between known and unknown donor/carrier evaluations and understand the unique clinical considerations of each.
· Integrate subjective clinical interview data with objective psychological testing results to address referral questions thoroughly and accurately.
· Plan and conduct effective feedback sessions with donors, gestational carriers, intended parents, and recipients.
· Recognize and anticipate common ethical dilemmas in reproductive mental health screening and implement strategies to avoid them.
· Construct comprehensive, well-organized screening reports appropriate for clinical and agency use.
